In particular, it outlines the reasons that forced Heorhiy Fyodorovych Proskura to abruptly shift his research focus from hydraulics and hydraulic engineering to aviation and aeronautics. This change of his scientific interests later paved the way for the establishment of Kharkiv Aviation Institute (KhAI).
