Abstract
<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>Based on Uses and Gratifications Theory, this study investigates the extent to which students are impacted by their use of the YouTube platform and explores the motivations behind these uses. It also measures different gratifications achieved by students. This is a quantitative descriptive study structured by a survey of the convenience sample of 53 respondents. The data were collected from undergraduate students across different colleges of Ahlia University in Bahrain. The result revealed that most students use YouTube platforms to satisfy various needs, including knowledge, psychological, and social needs. The findings emphasized that students adopt YouTube to support their academic achievement, and its use has had a positive impact.</jats:p>
