Pulmonary–renal syndromes

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>Pulmonary–renal syndromes refer to a spectrum of disorders including granulomatosis with polyangiitis, microscopic polyangiitis, anti-GBM disease, and eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis. These conditions should be considered when there is evidence of new-onset respiratory signs and symptoms with acute renal dysfunction. The diagnosis relies on autoantibody testing, imaging and, when needed, tissue biopsy. Untreated these diseases have a high mortality. The management requires urgent specialist input and the initiation of early high-dose immunosuppression.</jats:p>
