Abstract

Abstract
In the eight years since the previous edition of this book was published, the knowledge base, clinical practice, and nature of psychiatry have continued to evolve. Reflecting these developments, this edition has been significantly revised throughout, while still providing balanced and clear coverage across the whole of psychiatry. New features include the ICD-11 classification, the mental health aspects of the Covid-19 pandemic, and an increased focus on global and public mental health. The book is aimed at psychiatrists in training but is also suitable for medical students and other professionals working across health and social care, and anyone seeking a concise, up-to-date, and evidence-based introduction to psychiatry.
