Divine Love Theory

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>The moral argument for God centers around the question “What’s the best explanation for objective morality?” Though most theists argue God is the best explanation, they disagree as to how He functions as the source of moral truth. Adam Lloyd Johnson developed a Divine Love Theory which proposes that the ultimate ground of morality is God’s trinitarian nature as found in, and expressed among, the loving relationships within the Trinity. In this chapter, he explains his theory and argues that it’s the best explanation of objective moral truth by showing how well it fits with both what we’ve discovered about morality and our moral experiences.</jats:p>
