Abstract
This book offers the lay of the land when it comes to moral arguments for God’s existence, which have experienced a resurgence in recent decades. The history of such arguments is rich, but the terrain to cover is expansive. This volume endeavors to capture in broad compass to traverse the whole field—from the history of the argument(s), to issues in metaethics, to delineating relevant moral phenomena calling for explanation, to laying out an assortment of theistic ethical and metaethical accounts, to subjecting to critical scrutiny several secular accounts, and finally to some finer-grained religious accounts of the relationship between God and morality.
