<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>Calvinism: A Very Short Introduction traces the movement’s origins in the Protestant Reformation and shows how its ideas spread across Europe, America, Africa, and Asia. It presents Calvinism as one of the largest Protestant traditions and highlights its enduring global influence. This VSI examines how Calvinist convictions shape modern thought on theology, economics, politics, and the arts while also correcting persistent misconceptions about what Calvinists believe. It explains Calvinism’s understanding of God, the world, humanity, and the purpose of life. Finally, it situates Calvinism in the twenty-first century and assesses the challenges it currently faces.</jats:p>
