Abstract

The article discusses the issue of control signal saturation in automatic control systems and the phenomenon of windup, which may occur in controllers with integrating properties. Various countermeasures to this phenomenon are presented, including anti-windup mechanisms that limit the effect of the integrative part of the controller under conditions of control signal saturation. A structural proposal for an anti-windup system designed for full-order controllers is introduced, based on dynamic positive corrective feedback. A comparative evaluation of the performance of different control configurations with anti-windup mechanisms, including the proposed solution, was conducted through simulation.
